The Ministry of Finance's Selection and Recommendation Committee has released the shortlist of candidates vying for the position of Chairperson of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON).

Following a public call for applications issued on April 27, 2026 (Baishakh 15, 2083 BS), a total of 47 individuals had submitted their personal details and credentials within the given deadline. Out of those applicants, the committee has officially shortlisted four candidates to move forward to the interview and discussion stage.

The selected candidates are Dr. Navaraj Adhikari, Mr. Binayadev Acharya, Mr. Mukunda Kumar Chhetri, and Dr. Gopal Prasad Bhatta.

The committee has scheduled the final discussions and interviews for all four candidates on Friday, May 22, 2026 (Jeth 8, 2083 BS). The sessions will take place consecutively throughout the afternoon, starting from 1:00 PM at the Ministry of Finance located in Singhadurbar, Kathmandu.
